About the Job and the School:

JPC offers a salary of 6000RMB per month (about US$880), a
free private furnished apartment (A/C, TV and more) located right on campus
and reimbursed round-trip airfare in exchange for 20 classes per week
(classes are only 45 minutes each).  And, depending on your starting date,
often a paid one month vacation each year.

This position is half at the college and half at an associate language school
A private car is provided to take you back and forth.  The language school is about
15-20 minutes from the college.

While the wages are modest by Western standards, your housing and airfare are covered,
taxes are very low and most of your money is left for food, entertainment and travel.

Initially you will be teaching "Oral English" which some schools would call "conversation"
- basically speaking skills rather than writing, reading or listening.

A 100% legal "Z" visa will be obtained prior to leaving for China.

Jiangyin is located on the outskirts of Wuxi City, which has a metropolitan population of 4.5 million people.

The city center of Jiangyin has an estimated population of 110,000 people

An interesting comment about Jiangyin from the SisterCity Foundation here Comments are from a visit that the city of Chattanooga paid to Wuxi and Jiangyin “The scope of their urban planning is staggering,"  said Mr. Littlefield after a tour of nearby Jiangyin, an city on the outskirts of Wuxi which has rebuilt city streets, downtown center, and reclaimed hundreds of acres of land for foreign investment. The city is noted as one of the cleanest in China. Only environmentally safe companies are allowed to develop in the area.
